Incredible 2, Droid Charge, or wait?

I'm finally upgrading to a smartphone and can do it at any time now. I like the Incredible 2 from what i've read about the Incredible S review since they should basically be the same, but i'm wondering what other options there are?

Does the Droid Charge beat the Incredible 2 in any way if you take 4G out of the picture? 4G isn't a big deal to me, I can wait 2 years for a 4G phone so they can really improve on battery life and extend 4G coverage.

It seems like the Samsung SII is the only other phone coming to verizon any time soon that would be worth considering, but I keep hearing reports it may be months away. I'd rather get a new phone now than wait a month only to hear it's still 3+ months away...

I haven't heard much about the LG Revolution and the Bionic seems like it won't be out for a long time if at all. Are any of the Android phones on other carriers likely coming to verizon soon?

Thanks,
Jeremy

i would go with the Inc2. The charge is expensive and if 4g don't matter to you it isn't worth it. imo

What about the lack of inboard Flash in the Inc 2. How does that affect things? Where are the apps stored?

I agree 100% with your view. I'm satisfied with 3G. I use wifi more than 3G anyways. I also would rather see 4G go through the ringer over the next 12 to 18 months and see how things improve with network utilization (4G as it currently stands is not true 4G), phone function, and most important of all battery life.

Will the Incredible 2 and the Charge have the same processor speeds? Both are listed as 1ghz, not sure if they're the same generation.

They mention the Charge can be a wifi hot spot, but you pay extra for this feature after a trial period ends, right?

Is there a way to hack Android phones and make them into hot spots for free?

Yes, there used to be at least...my rooted Eris can be a wireless hotspot for free...

Haven't seen anything about the Incredible S being rooted yet...wonder if its even possible...

As far as Charge vs Inc 2...Charge is way too expensive IMO. 4G is not a necessity in W Texas as I'm sure we are last on list to get 4G...3G works great anyways.

It is expensive but is it a better phone in any way ignoring the whole 4G thing? If the Incredible 2 runs just as fast and the battery tends to last just as long, I see little reason to upgrade.
