Root Incredible 2 unusual boot problem

Yes I have learned alot! Thank you so much. I wonder what caused all of this... this was my wife's phone and she doesn't know anything about doing any of the things that brick phones... something obviously went bad wrong.

its really hard to say what may have caused it... im sure its nothing she did to it. sometimes hardware just... fails. i dont know id say that this is a common issue with inc 2's,but i have seen it 4 or 5 times here on the forums, so its not as unusual as youd think,either. there may be something with the chip used or some other piece of hardware.
