Ok, but how many of those people have an upgrade waiting right at this moment, and know about this phone and won't upgrade til it comes out? Hardly anyone actually knows about this phone, especially the average consumer. If you own an Inc 2, you bought the phone last year, which means if you wanted this phone you'd have to wait another year or buy it off contract, meaning it wouldn't even matter to those people.

I've said this before, the shared data plans are meant to affect people who are due for an upgrade later this year, not ones that are already due for an upgrade.

True True! I guess I'm just playing the pessimist role.. LOL
 
though i am sure specs wont change, i'm a little disenchanted that the GS3 got a spec bump in other countries when released. It went from 1gb to 2gb! What are the odds of that happening with the dInc4G? :(
I feel like with the way Verizon is REEALLYYY trying to push Moto products, we won't likely see a release until after this "Dads, Grads, kick you in the nads" sale.

If this were a One series phone that might be possible, but given that the Incredible4G LTE is most likely a one off for Verizon, I doubt we'll see that happen. The OG Incredible was a loose version of the Nexus 1, the Incredible2 was Verizon's version of the international IncredibleS, but the Incredible4G LTE is basically a one off phone, with HTC focusing mostly on their One series and probably custom offering this or lose having a model with Verizon, or HTC was under contract to provide X number of models for the Droid Incredible series.

Why Verizon didn't want to go with a One series model is beyond me, especially considering the raves lavished on them by the mobile sphere. It seems they never know which way to go with respect to phone OEMs. Last year they went with Moto while the Galaxy S2 series was the hot ticket. This year they go with the Galaxy S3, which is kind of playing second fiddle to the One series in terms of press. Next year they'll go with HTC and Moto may be the one everyone wants. It just seems like they're always a year late to the party. But Verizon hasn't exactly been known for making the best decisions as far as their phone offerings.

I hope your right but, IMO i think the phones would/should of gotten to the stores by now and I know some Verizon employees( even 3rd party re-sellers) would leak that stuff if given the chance. But so far... nothing.

My guess is that it was originally slated for release on both the 17th and then the 31st, and it keeps getting delayed.

Dont get too excited :p. Im betting its delayed because the phones just got out of customs. It is interesting though that it is still in their systems for the 31st! There is hope! Just dont expect much lol, i dont think we will see this phone for a while tbh.

I have not seen anything that says incredible was ever caught in customs and also I saw something which said the HTC phones, held were released last week

Well obviously if they had said the incredible was held up in customs then we would have known the phone was intended to arrive in a few days from the announcement, and Verizon hadn't announced a release date so they wouldn't want that information getting out. It was pretty clear to me that the Incredible was held up if it was intended to release anytime from next week to two weeks ago. And they weren't released last week, they were released yesterday.

Edit: I can't access the chat anymore :( It just gives me an option to call.
 
I just got.off chat with 4 different online sales people and they all said theu dont uave any onformation when it will be released
 
I also just chatted with an agent and get the same response. I wouldn't bank on the phone being available tomorrow. Not sure how one agent can see it in their system and the next can't. I think they just tell you whatever they feel like telling you...!

Generally companies put the 1st and the last day of the month as place holders in systems. Happens alot for electronics but especially video games.

It usually means "some time this month".
Like June 1st release date will mean sometime in June.

Not saying it won't pop up on Verizon's website tomorrow but I figured I'd point that out.

Unfortunately your probably right. If it doesn't release tomorrow, we have the following dates to throw around: June 7, June 21, and June 28. Let's hope it's the first one :/

I hope to wake up tomorrow to some good news! "Jonathon" told me it will release tomorrow in the morning.
 
I seriously think Verizon looks at these forums and try to match up customers with their posts to flag customers who abuse chat to try and find out information.

I won't get into why but I wouldn't go fishing in chat and post it here. Suffice it to say, the phone will be out when it is out and no chat person will give you any information you can bank on future releases.

Every Wednesday I will hope an official announcement comes until I grow impatient and when then happens I'll assess my options.
