I'm still holding on... I started watching this thing onSt Pattyy's day with a green beer in my hand so was hoping to get this from the Easter Bunny, then it was going to be my birthday present, then Fathers Day present, so now I guess I'm either looking at:
4th of July in lieu of fireworks,
Halloween instead of candy,
Thanksgiving instead of turkey,
Christmas present............

yup. I thought is was a little old when it was announced. I like HTC but I can't see buying this phone. I'm really ticked at HTC for not releasing a tier 1 phone for VZW.
 
July 5th eh? Ill check it out in store then and see if its worth exchanging/selling my GS3 for. Im sure I could find a rep thatll let me keep my unlimited data.
 
I think it is obvious they needed to fix something and the phone had to go through testing. Maybe it was to get around the iLegal troubles, maybe something else. This would explain everything. I don't buy the waiting for shared data plans conspiracy because they could easy have done that with SG3 .

At first i thought they would wait to release it but that was before you could preorder the s3 and keep unlimited.
they would have been able to kick more people off unlimited if they waited on the s3 then the inc4g. they other way around does NOT make sense at all.

I did preorder the s3 but that was mainly to sell it and get the inc4g and keep my unlimited.
maybe i can list it on craigslist for a trade with someone for the inc4g straight up :)

We've had like 3-4 release date speculations. I don't even know where they get the info from, it seems like they just pull it out of their ass :confused:

I wouldn't bet on July 5.
 
If I can't be buying it by June 27th I just won't bother. After that i may just get a dumb phone from Boost or one of those other 2ed rate carriers and get a Tablet to do all my app related addiction stuff. LOL:D
 
Well, went ahead and called verizon today. Asked if there was any information available on the 4g3. The rep looked it up and told me July 5th was the launch date. Hopefully we will get a preorder announcement next week. That would be the best case scenario under these trying times. Really don't want to hassle with ordering a different phone and exchanging it just to keep my unlimited data. Seems like big red would realize the potential waste. But, a man gotta do what a man gotta do.

I dont mind exchanging. Its not as much of a hastle as reselling the phone online. Does anyone know if you have to pay taxes when exchanging a phone? Would the extra 50$ I paid for the GS3 offset the restocking fee and whatever else I have to pay for?
 
How do you do an exchage with an online order? Wait until you get the S3 and then take it into the store? Or do you have to send it back through UPS? I've never had to take back a phone before - all of mine have worked right off the bat, knock on wood.
 
Yea, I just ordered the sgIII from the local verizon store yesterday. I'm not sure it was a good idea. From what I gathered, the phone gets shipped to the store and they activate it for me in the store. She said that is when the contract is fulfilled (when activating it) however, she said since I ordered it before the 28th, I keep my unlimited (that was the only thing I wanted was unlimited). However, knowing that I would have to sell it non-brand new (had to activate it) I guess I will have to sell it for less. Which is no biggie for me if I could just sell it enough to get the Inc4g.

As far as exchanging goes, she said as of right now I would be able to exchange it after july 11 (when the phone ships) and keep my unlimited, but she said that could change at any time.

just sharing my experience.
