Incredible Battery Life Question

Asterdroid

Android Expert
Now, I know this phone is going to go through a battery pretty quickly, but how will it compare battery life-wise to a Motorola Droid?

Longer or shorter battery life?

From what I've read, the eris did not underclock at idle like the snapdragon phones. Also, the eris has lcd which also takes up more power.

Same for the droid.
I was going to post the same thing but these people will simply create their own reality and believe what they want to believe.

The fact of the matter is this question simply can not be answered at this time. No if and or buts about it.

Unless you know of a device that's been running for awhile and can be compared to the Moto.

The Moto has better battery life, by far.

wow, Its pretty clear you dont even know what we are talking about here. Your post made zero logical sense.

Amazing stuff right here folks --^

Here, let see if this makes it though your unusually thick cranium:

The Motorola Droid has more battery life than the HTC Incredible. This is based on usage of both devices on a daily basis.

Better?

You're criticizing the person who's seen the thing. Also, he was likely referring to the N1. If the N1 does have less battery life than the moto (I haven't bothered to check), the Incredible likely will too.

Because of the underclocking, I still think it's possible that if you don't have auto weather, email, etc checks and don't use it much it is possible it gets better, but that takes away the reasons why most people buy smartphones.

I don't believe the Incredible will be underclocked. If you look at the UG, it shows it at 1GHz.

Snapdragons don't idle at 1GHz though (200MHz I think). They underclock themselves and then if they need to they go up to 1GHz. Sort of like an i7 which does the same thing (but is a hell of a lot more powerful, obviously).
