Incredible Boot Animation

ok im a total noob to all of this.

im downloading SDK which is taking forever and HTC Sync for Incredible...

I need to download both right?

Once those are downloaded, I download the audio and then the boot.zip and save them.

Open up SDK and follow those instructions, when the hell do you plug in your phone and sync it? And how do i do that?

Have you watched this video yet? It made it very simple for me. I didn't need "HTC Sync" to do it:

Finished installing SDK

Hit windows button and r pulled up cmd.exe

says C:\users\adam

i tried to hit cd C:\AndroidSKD\tools and it wont go through

says the system cannot find the path specified
 
the folder is in C: Android SDK..

if i click on that folder it says android-sdk-windows and then inside that folder is all the tools and everything else
 
ok.. so i got into the right location did the adb push.....

cmd prompt scrolled down with the data..

unplugged from usb and turned it off and back on..

did not work. only thing different is verizon wireless logo came up and the red scribblies didnt go through it..
 
got mine to work after finally getting the usb drivers to install.

is there no way to make the animation full screen or not do that stutter at the end?
 
I'm confused...I can't do anything like this on the Incredible yet can I, doesn't it have to be rooted 1st? I thought I was going to get to do something cool, then reality set in haha.
