Accessories Incredible case to hide the ridges?

id like to get my phone to sit flat on the desk, i dont like how it sits on the camera i feel like it will be scratched up soon from me bumping it, the metal ring already got one scratch... i do like having the ridges on the phone though... its nice that its not the same as everthing else, just dont like that the camera sticks out.

VZN silicon case, hard silicon, smooth, shinny, and no dust.

Black gloss case from vzw, lays flat, lens is safer and no dust. Easy to pop off and it makes the device feel more solid.

Unfortunately almost everyone that posted here has basically ignored the OPs request and opted to discuss the merits of the ridges that the Incredible sports (aka hijacking). Out of 22 response posts, only 4 have actually made an attempt to address his question. If that doesn't frustrate the OP then he's a better man or woman than me. Please don't take offense to this, I'm just suggesting it's something to think about.

As for flat cases, the only one I noticed that was completely flat was the "Body Glove Rubber Snap On Cover with Belt Clip".

Bit uptight are we? Its a support and discussion forum and we are providing the OP with thread traffic and friendly discussion. I suppose we could just let it fall to the end of the list like so many other untrafficked and unanswered threads?

No but really, the ridges are awesome and give it character and doesn't make it awkward at all. As my boy GrandMasterB put it:

I like the feel of the Eris better than the Incredible, so if there were a case that covered the ridges (and made it feel more solid) I'd be happy. I don't get my New Every Two until July, so I don't have an Incredible yet, but I can't justify buying the Eris just because I like the exterior better, ya know?

As for the ridges, I like the look of them, however, the way my fingers hit it on the back make it uncomfortable. I wish they could have either just made it flat or slightly pebbled to help comfort-wise.

+1 Billion. I waited for days contemplating the back because I thought I was gonna hate it but it is far less pronounced than I had expected. Its a win imo.

You'll see that I quoted your two previous posts above: I will admit you did provide traffic which is often helpful. Unfortunately, you also ignored the OP's request for people to point out flat-back cases. Instead, you chose to fall in line with the other posters; first you asked why he would question the Incredible's shape and then you began proclaiming how wonderful the ridges are. Regardless of how great the shape of the phone is, you effectively helped to shut down the OPs original request. I would not consider traffic a good trade off for nixing the whole purpose of the thread and I'm sure the OP would agree.

Calling me uptight isn't really called for.

You're welcome. I noticed someone else posted about the Verizon Silicone Black case. I just want to clarify that it still does have the ridges. However, because the case thickness is taller than the camera, it makes the highest level a flat plane, instead of being interrupted by the camera (like the naked phone is). If you just want the phone to lay flat on the table, the VZW Silicone case will work for you, but if you want to completely eliminate the ridges, it won't. Hope that helps.

I like the ridges! It adds a uniqueness to the phone that really... stands alone.

I didn't think I would like it at all before I got the phone. My first reaction was, "hey, this isn't that ugly." .. now that I've had it for a while I actually don't mind it at all .. it does add something unique to it.

Also, as a plus, the speaker doesn't get muffled when the phone is put down, instead the sound gets reflected nicely around the unit.
