incredible = cdma desire?

Looks like from the specs it's a cdma desire with a slightly better camera. No 8gb rom not even the 1gb rom space of the evo 4g. Even the ram is the same.

For those that don't click links addressing the question at hand:

I'm glad you mentioned this...and before this gets completely out of hand...let me assure EVERYONE that this phone 100% absolutely has the 8 GB in internal memory. I have other, more authoritative, documentation that states this so please lets not run away with this one detail for pages...it's there!

I'm not going to say anything about the source but i can write what some other documentation states...

Also says "Removable Memory - MicroSD (up to 32 GB)" but does not say the phone will come with any card.

Soooo.....in my opinion (read: my 2 cents, likely all its worth)...has 8 GB internal memory, microSD card slot that will take up to 32 GB, no card included with phone.

I'm not sure how other people feel about that, but i have like a dozen "3-in-1" little kits around the house from newegg that are like 4-16 GB or micro, mini, and standard SD used for various other phones, cameras, etc... including the 16GB one in my Droid, so i personally couldn't care less if a card ships with it. They're very cheap...just buy an 8 or 16 now for next to nothing, and in 6-9 months buy a 32 one for the same price...no biggie. Christ, even my digital camera now takes an SDXC card so i'm sure my next phone will have a 2 TB card.

Device has a 512mb rom and a 8gb microsd card. At least Droid packed a 16gb. Then again, at least Incredible can access the slot without removing the battery (Droid and Nexus- bad!).

Then someone needs to tell HTC /Verizon, since the pdf manual says 512mb rom and no mention of built-in storage.

Considering how close it is to release I have no doubts the manual is accurate and it might very well ship with an 8gb sdhc card to keep costs down. 512mb ROM can fill up fast.

You guys obviously didn't look at what greggsd posted. It WILL have 8gb INTERNAL coming from the same guy who posted the manual. The rom was always supposed to be 512, the moviNand is NOT rom. They are separate.

While I've seen some manuals leave stuff out nothing would indicate an 8gb internal memory. There would be something listed in the specs and a separate mention on how to save on internal vs sd memory. Plus leaving out a key sales point rarely gets left out. From what I've seen it looks like 8gb sd included and pre-installed similar to the 4gb card included with the N1.
