^plus one. I guess some people just want a TB but for it to be called an Inc?.....lol
Nope, due to the chipset, the TB is a mid level phone too. VZW happily pushes these mid level, premium price devices and folks buy them in droves. It will become a point that VZW will stop selling premium Android devices and just have the iPhone as their premium device (Why invest in premium devices if their customers happily buy the mid level stuff?). It could be that VZW has no choice, since they probably are drained from the Apple deal.
Seems VZW is vested too much on Apple now and Android devices will be mainly mid level hardware, but marketed as premium devices. Curse VZW and their great data coverage!
Let us see so far on the premium priced devices with VZW besides the Inc 2:
1. Thunderbolt: Battery hog with 4gb of storage crippled
2. Charge: Already getting bad reports on battery and has a year old chipset (though still better than the 8655 in the Inc 2, TB, X Play and Rev).
3. Bionic: Steve Austin needs about a four month rebuild
4. X Play: 380mb of device storage space- now THAT is retro
5. LG Rev: Though the same single core as the others (sans Bionic), at least it has some things going for it over the others: IPS display, HDMI, dedicated video decoding chip and 16gb internal storage and microsd. It also has Netflix and Netflix controls mobile devices via the device model, so no Netlfix unless the OEM pays for the privilege. Inc 2 owners, enjoy Blockbuster
BTW, I am mainly having fun, since this stuff is just pieces of metal, plastic and sand. I still use an Inc I, so anything is step up from that 150mb data/data file constrained device. "Low on space" is a very common warning for a lot of Inc users.
Sadly, no joke about Netlfix, since even if with an account, the mobile device must be on the "list" of devices to stream from Neflix servers. Well, there is Play On (not as convenient, but an option).
