I have that red gradient cover. It is seriously, seriously awesome both aesthetically and protectively. They seem to be in every Verizon store, you probably could have just run to your nearest one and bought it.
However, I hope you don't like using your 3.5mm jack for audio, because the hole over the jack is WAY to tiny, and 95% of 3.5mm cables out there wont plug in all the way without popping the top half of the cover loose. Very annoying.

Really, I haven't experienced this yet.
I've had this case on my Incredible since May 28, prelaunch. The coating on the case will start to scratch off over time as mine is doing this at various places throughout the case. Under the coating the case is actually clear red plastic. Time for a new one anyways. It's football season!

I just switched from this case to the case-mate tough case.
I didn't like that the parts of the phone that snapped together didn't seem to line up. Other than that, it's a good case. Very smooth and nice feel to it. I had it on my phone at work (unloading trucks) and I don't know how many times I flinched when my phone cracked on a metal bar leading up the stairs to the compactor. Each time, the case took the blow. It only snapped open once and I caught it on break and pushed it back together.
Phone uninjured.
The tough case, however, has an even silkier feel, hugs the phone tighter, gives better access to the 3.5mm jack. The buttons are protected by the inner silicon case. I feel so much more confident about my phone just having it in this case.

I have this case, but I don't recommend it. It will snap part at the slightest drop so I actually put clear scotch tape around the seams which looks yucky. This case is more for show than protection.

Exactly. Dont get this goth-barbie black and pink case. After a while the fit just disappears and the seams start to pop out from the sides. I know its designed to snap apart if you drop it but i like my gel case better.
