Help Incredible Revolution theme not installing!! Help

I've been trying to install the incredible revolution theme from RM but everytime it does, it goes back to/stays at the old froyo 2.2 set up and only like the bottom buttons and menu icons change.

what am I doing wrong?

What are the steps you are following? You SHOULDN'T be wiping data and cache. What rom are you using? It isn't compatible with all roms.
