Root Incredible ROMS website

Just did Jager's this morning. I like this the best. FYI it is blank so make sure you load launcherpro or ADW.
 
this may be dumb but I just want to make sure I understand 100% once you go to these roms you can still take the Rom off right? I made the mistake with my Eris of going to the 2.1 leak Rom and it is now stuck with that Rom and I want to be able to load different ROMs all the time.

The 2.1 leak for the eris was different, that was a leaked update. What we're doing with the incredible, you could think of it as flashing a different os to it. Short answer, yes, you'll be able to change it.

Thanks I will go there and see if I can find it. But if I used Nandroid to back up all the settings and everything and they restore it that wont restore the shipped ROM will it?
 
okay noob questions. I installed the jager rom.. and I can't figure out how to get a clock widget that will link to the alarm lol. Can I download one from the market or something?
 
I can't seem to get the unrevolved file to install

1. I renamed it update
2. I put it on the SD card
3. I go into custom recovery
4. I apply the update.zip file
5. It flashes, and I reboot it
6. HTC white splash screen loads
7. Droid Boot animation only (no sound) loads, and then loops (droid scripts out and then the eye comes on with the electrons or whatever they are moving back and forth on top and bottom... then restarts from droid scripting out and all over again)

I flashed it twice now, same results. Downloaded the file again and did a bit by bit file compare with windows commander with the new file and the one i was using, and they are identical. Any ideas?

EDIT: I was factory resetting the phone from within the OS, had to do a wipe data from the ClockWorkMod Recovery Menu and then update, now it is working...

did you wipe everything first in recovery mode before installing update.zip?
 
It would be great if someone would make a new thread explaining what each new Rom was including a couple of pics and a link of where to find it.

Yup, me too. I'd like to have Froyo, but the stock 2.1 Sense ROM has been flawless for me, and since I already rooted and have WiFi tethering :D there's no huge rush for me.

And believe me, I'm no stranger to ROM flashing... back in my old WinMo days I must have flashed 50 different custom ROMs on my PPC-6700 and PPC-6800 (actually, I know CaptJager from back then, I was part of the unofficial "testing team" for his WinMo ROMs). He does nice work.

1)does your messages icon work by default
2) when you install the google apps, does your gmail work? mine force closes and I've tried wiping and reinstalling the rom for a third time now and still doesnt work if i get an email i get the notifier, and if i click it I go into gmail and see the email, but then it force closes....shame....

isn't it possible to just do all this from within rom manager?
