Help Incredible S GPS problem..

I've been trying out the GPS on my new Incredible S and it won't work in the car.and it taking too much time to fix the satellite.. It picks up a signal after a while outdoors but cuts out as soon as I take it in the car. I had no such problems with my Touch HD which even worked indoors. Is my phone faulty?

I upgraded to Abdroid 2.3.4 as soon as I got the phone so I don't know how the GPS was before.

Is there anything I can do to help the GPS?
 
Mine didn't connect even after the device detected 12 satellites... even after keeping it on for 5 minutes, downloaded apps to monitor the progress of the gps fix... no luck..
I then downloaded an app called gps status and downloaded A-gps data for my area...
didn't really help,
then I turned off fast boot and restarted the phone and believe it or not I've been getting 4 second fixes now... I don't really know what did the job, but it works... just try it once, doesn't hurt to try
 
I can't find the fast boot option in settings anywhere...can someone pls throw this techno-**** a bone?

I'll be ya best friend?! ;)
