Root Incredible SLCD

I'm picking up an incredible tomorrow. If I get a one with the SLCD does that limit my Kernel/Rom choices? I see Cynogen doesn't work with the SLCD model yet. What about other kernels and roms?

Clockwork now works with slcd screens. I believe almost every new kernel and rom work with slcd's.
There is generally a warning on the rom page if it doesn't work with slcd.

From what I understand the stock Cyanogen kernel doesnt work with SLCD's. An easy workaround tho is to download a custom kernel and flash it right after you flash Cyanogen.

yeah i have clockwork working on my SLCD... just curious, but what is the difference between an SLCD and AMOLED screen? other than the fact that there is not a shortage of SLCD screens.

The drivers in the kernel required to communicate with the screen are different.

I have a sLCD and have tried pretty much every ROM out there. Well alot of them. Cyanogenmod worked fine for me even when I forgot to flash a new kernel. Its battery sucked. I'd reccomend invisiblek and cyanogenmod.

Ive got an slcd inc and ive ran cm6 and now i have OMGB 2.3 running beautifully. You should be good to go just use unrevoked to root, download rom manager and flash clockwork.
