Help Incredible Spell Checking?

While i do like the way the spell checker integrates with the incredible there is one huge annoyance that i hope that there is a way around. When i'm typing a lot of times i'm typing a word that i want to use but i don't want added to the dictionary. How can you get the spell checker to get out of the way in these cases? I have found one way but its a major pain to do. You have to click somewhere earlier in your sentence and then click the end again to start typing. If you hit space it uses one of the suggestions or if you try to click what you've entered it adds it to the dictionary (which is not what i want). Any help would be apprecaited.

get a different keyboard? im assuming your using the HTC sense keyboard? does hitting space just add the word? what about selecting it with the trackpad?

i use stock android keyboard with CM 6.1 and ive been trying 8Penn out too
