Help Incredible to Commando HELP!!!

ive had an incredible for ever now and love the keyboard sms. it is very responsive and fast to text on. now i got the commando today and HATE sms keyboard. it is NOT sensitive whatsoever. i have to firmly press and almost hold each key for it to realize what im doing. for me to type "hey whats going on" will literally take me 2-3x longer than what it did on my incredible. my buddy told me to try "go sms pro" & "go keyboard pro" both of which did not help me texting wise. i really need to figure something out because at this rate it will take me forever to have a normal conversation.. any ideas???????
 
There have been several posts on here and elsewhere about the decreased responsiveness of the Commando's screen. It is thicker than other phones. I guess it is a matter of perspective. This is the first touchscreen phone that I've every really used, so it's fine to me. Other say that it's bad - kind of like what you are saying. I use the gingerbread keyboard from the market, and it works well - for me. I saw on your other post you had a question about the facebook sync. The Commando doesn't do that either. This phone might not be a good fit for you; you may want to consider swapping it for something different before your 15 days is up.
 
find a keyboard that you like to use with the proper settings you like,just keep in mind the Commando is a rugged phone.the gorilla glass is thicker so you have to spend a lil more time when texting and messaging
 
As suggested, try some different kb's. I agree the kb is a tad less responsive, but it's just a learning curve. The oem kb is the worst imho. Don't get to frustrated to fast with it. Give it time for you to adjust and try diff ones. I'm terrible with touch kb's and it took me awhile, but I have no issues with it now. I'm using "better keyboard 8".
 
I have learned that if you want speed, this is not the phone for you. The Commando is all about ruggedness. My wife has the Inc2, and even after I rooted my Commando, her phone is still light-years faster and more responsive than mine.

It is all about priorities..... ;)
 
i was just looking at the incredible 2's i used to own a incredible 1 and loved almost everything besides the freeze up and random texts and all that. what is the difference between the 1 and 2 in short words???
