Help Indian GSM Version Authenticity

Hello all,
This is probably going to be the most strangest thread you have read. I have a phone that a customer bought in from India and is using T-Mobile as a US Carrier. He brought said device into us asking if we could upgrade the phone to KitKat 4.4.2. I examined the device and noticed that the following weird information:

Serial Number: 0123456789ABCDEF
Build Number: JSS15J.N900ZNUBMI7
Device Name in Windows: h3gduoszn
Phone Number: 1+ 000-000-000
Weather apps are Chinese Characters even after performing complete Reset.
Carrier: Lycamobile
Kernel Version: 3.4.5-1591054 se.infra@R0210-12 #1
Model Number: SM-N900 - Turned up nothing on the US/India Samsung Site
Base band Version: N900ZNUBM17
"Custom build version: release.V1.20"

Is this phone a fake and while it does seem to run on T-Mobiles network fine it has zero access to LTE. Also when accessing the built-in safe mode all I see is blue Chinese characters.
When booting the device all of the normal Samsung loading screen come up.
