Help Individual notifications for people?

Ok did a search, couldn't really find an answer for the Incredible.

Can I, and if so how do I set notifications(mostly text notifications) for each person individually?

using handcent or default?

using handcent, for example, i open the text thread of my gf then on the upper right i click on personalization, then notification settings and from there you can customize

I'm using default, tho I'm going to look into handcent and what it does for me now, my first smartphone, and touchscreen for that matter so I'm just trying to take my time and not jump into downloading tons of shit that's useless, lol.

CAN I do it with the default?
