Individual text message ringtones

Does anyone know of a app that let's you set not only call ringtones for specific contacts but text messages too? I used ringo or whatever it's called a few years back.

Do you mean to have your phone play different ringtones for different callers when they call you? If so that is just assigning a ringtone to that contact in your phone. You can just edit the contact and change the ringtone played for their calls and text messages too.

Oh ok cool. I figured the phone would let you assign different ringtones but I didn't know it did it for SMS too.

Not for SMS, but you can set different sms tones for each contact using Handcent SMS from the Play Store

Under jelly bean yes you can. In contacts, edit the contact and scroll down. you have ringtone then you have message alert setting.
