Help Indulge Notification Window Problem...

This just started happening to my phone yesterday....

I go to view my notifications via the pull down window. When I make the action to pull it down it only comes down part way or just the tip of it shows... I have to hit menu-> notifications to view it.

Has anyone else had or is having this issue? If so, how did you fix it?

happened to me just reboot ur phone.

Did that like 20x... I don't mean to sound like an @ss but that was the 1st thing I thought to do. ;)

i had the same problem... rebooted, it went away then came back... i eventually did a reset and wiped out all the apps... it works fine now... maybe a corrupt app? I'm not a rocket surgeon, so i don't really quite get these things... but i'm happy with my phone now... and for now only.

Sounds like something's hogging your cpu. Try an advanced task manager and kill processes/services which you have no use for and try to isolate the culprit.
I'm thinking it's a resources issue cause my gf's android tablet does the same thing and usually killing some offending process resolves the issue. It's only got a 720 mhz cpu, so...

If anything, download the app autokillermemory from the market and it'll manage things quite well for you by itself.
In fact, I suggest everyone reading this at least try the app on their phone. There should be an IMMEDIATE speed difference.

Mine was not caused by a running app. There are three separate places to look at what is running and I checked them all -
Task Manager, Running Services and the "Running" tab of Manage Applications

I firmly believe this is a bug in the system itself, along with the move2sd touchwiz icon location bug.

Thank you all for you aid and sorry for the delayed responses. I have a VERY energetic 4yr old so getting back and replying takes some time. :)

I have been killing tasks like crazy now (I kinda feel like the serial killer of tasks). I reboot sometimes I get the prob 4x in a row.. When I don't get it that's where I end the reboots.

~Thinks it's LauncherPro causing the issue..

Try clearing launcher pro's data. Suck cause you're going to have to remake your screens, but I was having funky behavioral issues with go launcher ex and this is what tamed the program.

had it happen to me yesterday and a reboot only gave me a quick fix. it started up again soonafter. closed all running processes with Advanced Task Killer and it still didnt work. When I turned the phone sideways, i was able to pull down the notification bar. Aside from that, there was an update for go launcher and go sms pro. I downloaded and installed both updates, rebooted the phone and havent had a problem since.

Yeah, Mike's right too... Remember that the phone only comes with ~380mb ram. Since the os obviously needs to run, there isn't that much more left for us to bask in free memory glory... Task killers and memory managers all report ~50 to 70mb of free ram only. :(

I dont have to kill tasks or install any task killing and with nothing running my phone is only using 175mb of ram on average. That means I have 125 free. I even used an app to increase the read cache of the sd card and I'm using the Extended Controls app which is always running in the backgroun.

Right now I have wireless tethering turned on and I am posting this message on my laptop tethered through the MetroPCS network and the phone has 113mb free ram.

Well, to be fair to the phone, I have 288 apps on it, with quite a few working at any one time.
Yeah, I'm still to used to computing on a computer. Lol!

to clarify, android's memory management scheme couldn't keep up with my demands and has thus been replaced, so on second thought, I might have a few more apps running then the typical user.
