Help Infuse Homescreen Lag after undocking

I have the samung infuse and recently purchased the samsung charging dock. After I remove the phone from the dock it takes a good 15-20 seconds before the apps icons load on screen. It shows my wallpaper and I can't do anything until it takes it's time reloading everything.

Highly annoying and potentially dangerous if I need the phone in the middle of the night for an emergency. Any thoughts?

I guess the first question to ask would be....does it act the same way after unpluging from the standard wall charger or usb charging?
