Ok so being that the infuse is basically a bigger hspa+ enabled galaxy S ( captivate ) what are the chances current one click roots will work ??

More than likely nobody has posted a responce because the phone is not out and nobody has attempted to root it yet. However if the one-click or simurlar methods do not work, I am sure Gingerbreak will. I guess we will know in 3 days when the phone is released

Can you tell us about the gps??!????
GPS seems to work great, no problems yet. Also One-Click Root works just fine.

Sorry if this has been answered already but what does "rooted" mean??
It gives you superuser access to your phone to customize and change it in literally anyway that you would like. Android in general is a pretty user friendly OS (as compared to iPhone), but rooting it makes it even more user friendly.

And rooting the infuse allows you to get free apps??
There are plenty of free apps in the market, no need to root
