Help Infuse Text Message issue

I've had the Infuse for a few weeks. Love it. When I first got the phone, all the lines of the text message would show in the message box. But starting recently, when I receive text messages that are longer than one line, I can't see the whole message until I tap on the message box and it goes to the black and white screen with large text - a whole extra step. Can anyone help?
