Ingress

I have been wondering about this, an enlightened member hit a few near my house 3 minutes apart which means he would have had to hit absolutely no traffic and every green light to make it in time.

Also one of my fellow resistance members set up an IRC channel and responded to somebody's post that there were "other tips and tricks that won't be discussed here, only on the IRC". My senses are tingling big time here, may have to join to see if they are offering cheat tips, can't stand any cheating even if it benefits me!

Is there a place to report suspected cheats?

if the timestamps are too close to be lagit report the user and they will be banned! people have been using various apps that shouldnt be said here to get to where they need to be. it is VERY tempting and easy to do but its not right!
 
I don't know how the codes actually work, when I got mine last week I just logged into the game with my Gmail account and didn't even have to enter the code into the game itself. Strange to say the least. Just thought of something else, check your spam folder because the invite comes from Niantic Labs, not Google.

That's what happened to me also
 
So control fields were down in my area go almost 13,000 AP after work today, yay!

Linked up a ton of areas. I absolutely hate and love how little damage xmp's do! I'm only level 2. I had a friend get his invite a few days ago, and the competition is on! He's on the same side, resistance!

Use the ingress map on a pc to look for unclaimed portals. I found 3 of them in weird areas just south of me (10 min drive).
 
We also lost some remote links so I think a powerful user was doing the "cheat", so I need to step in and do it for real!

Don't cheat, you are going to get bant, AND you are doing a disservice to anyone legitimately playing the game!

YOU WILL GET BANT IF YOU CHEAT!
 
I think that we all need to remember that this is a beta version, I'm sure that Niantic and Google are aware of the issues and that they will all be adequately addressed shortly. People who cheat are only cheating themselves. It's not like there's a cash prize involved.

I've been emailed two codes! And I only submitted my email once, way back when it was just getting noticed! Plus, I don't need either of them because I was awarded a code a while back. So...

WHO WANTS A CODE?! PM me for codes, and when they're used up I'll edit this post to say so.
 
Have to say there are some really rabid people playing this game. Things are being taken a little to seriously which is a big turn off for me, it is a game, relax and enjoy it.

Anybody else seeing this?

To a degree. We had some quick ramp-up people locally, some of their portals went unclaimed this weekend. They were probably using the tools we should not speak of, which apparently YOU WILL GET BANT!

Friend received his code last week, we went driving all around downtown and doing our thing.

I then got txt's like, "I'm taking the kids to the zoo so I can link those portals there" and stuff. That's a little extreme. IMHO, if you have the spare time, go for it, but don't run your life around ingress.

I did notice that with both of us in the car that one day, xm would go negative sometimes, we would be claiming the same xm on the map, then a server update would give him most of the xm.

Weird behavior indeed. So if I loaded up 7 players in my vehicle, that might be VERY strange, and extreme, lol.

Been having fun with it, if I have the free time, I might hit downtown and play a bit, or hit the ones close to my house. It's really a fun game and there's a lot of strategy. I do live in a smaller town, I checked out the maps of Seattle, and there's level 7 already, with people not far behind!

Yes. People taking road trips to help out factions and such. The comms center can be very entertaining.

Already have a few people that are going out Saturday to take down some local stuff, at least that's our secure discussion in the comm :D:D

Friend has like 600 miles on this game, it's very addictive!

I really don't care about factions, they can join or attack, it's just part of the game!

I got my invite over the weekend and joined the Resistance. I wish I had checked the intel board before I decided who to join because I would have almost certainly joined the Enlightened if I had. Everything locally is owned by the Resistance and that makes it less fun for me. I really wanted to get in on some action.

100 ap per hack of an enemy portal... go now!

edit, sorry. You will get your turn, the portals change sides often. Hack and get some inventory!
