Help Ink Scratches on Screen

Hi, I've had my Galaxy S3 since 31st May and I'm loving it so far. However, I recently found a few almost hidden black ink scratches on the phone. They are only visible on black backgrounds such as the Notifications screen but are very annoying now that I've noticed them. They aren't visible on any other background colour, from any angle.

As you can imagine it's quite annoying to see this considering it's such a new phone, and I've done absolutely nothing to damage the phone. Haven't dropped it or anything like that. Has anyone else noticed this problem or can think of possible causes?

I cannot verify this because i am not willing tear my phone apart to check but it has been said on the forums that the lines you are seeing are a by product of the screen manufacturing process. The way the parts are bonded together. I do not see them in my s3 but they were noticable on my razr maxx.

Yes, I have noticed a couple of "burn spots" on my screen when I was watching a movie on it last night. It really doesn't bother me because I remember I had this problem on my Samsung Charge as well. A quick Google search on this issue indicated that it has been an issue for all AMOLED screens. http://www.samsung-galaxy-s3.com/black-spots/

So it's really not worth contacting you cell phone provider over as your replacement will probably have the same ink blotches.

So obviously you can't blame motorola, like we said in our thread. It's a normal effect from the manufacturing process. Almost every phone will have it with newer screens will have it, it doesn't effect use though.

I was thinking more in terms of resale, as I will have to mention these ink blotches in my product description which is likely to bring the price down for it :(

It's a normal problem, even for fresh off the factory phones. I don't think it will bring the resale value down
