I purchased the Seidio Active case after reading a bunch of reviews. It fits like a glove and feels solid in the hand. No creaking like that of other cases with a hard shell. As you probably know, it is a 2 part case. You get the best of both worlds, the silicone and the rubberized hard shell protection. Best of all, it does not scratch the phone like other hardshells, do to the full silicone case. Dust does not enter under the case and it protects the camera lens by having it recessed in the housing.
There is an overall smoothness and tactile feel to the phone with the case on. Pretty much the smooth rubber coating is felt, not the tackiness that some silicone cases have. It does add some weight and bulk to the phone, but I think it is not enough to not consider the Active Case. I feel the design of the phone to be a little slim in my large hands. The added weight and bulk give the phone a beefier feel. I did not purchase the belt holster to go with the phone, a mistake on my part. Consider the complete kit if you want to carry the phone on the waist and the snap case is something you fancy. I purchased a rather nice black leather holster at a local Best Buy for $15 and it fits like a glove. Overkill in the protection department, but feels better on the waist than in the pocket.
This is definitely a case not to be overlooked.
In summary

Not overly bulky (like otter box)
Every thing is covered (except power adapter port, camera, and Screen - I went with their screen protector, high praises there too.)
Cons:
1. Buttons are a little firm to press - to be expected.
2. The added weight makes carrying in a pants pocket a bit uncomfortable
