Help Insane Battery Life Problem!

Im not sure what happened, but recently my battery life has gone way down. For instance, Its been only 6 hours since its been pulled off the charger (fully charged) and its been completely idle on WiFi, and the battery life is at 13%.
When I plug it into USB for charging, it gives an error saying that its using more battery than it can charge. Which is really not normal, especially when its idle.
So I think something is definitely eating up my battery but I'm not sure what. Is there an app to find this out?

Spare Parts can help, you can look at what's called partial wake usage to see if apps are holding wake locks.

Another program is called watchdog task manager(not task killer), it will tell you if any one app is taking an inordinate amount of CPU.


Have you installed any apps or widgets recently?

Have you changed anything recently? Are you using any custom roms or kernels? How old is your evo?

Spare parts is an app you can download from the android market.

I would fully charge the battery if u can. Then let the phone sit for awhile. Then check spare parts. Go to battery history and select the partial wake usage option. Also check other usage to see if the running section is high.
