Help insert sd card

There's an SD card in my EVO, why does it say insert SD card or can't read card? in settings it says mount SD card. BTW this is a replacement phone .

The card may not be seated right and the phone isn't reading it properly, or maybe the card has died?

Have you tried to remove then reseat the card?

Also take the card out, and insert it into a card reader and see if your PC recognizes it.

Lastly whileit's in the PC, try and reformat the card and try to reinsert it.

I had that issue once, I had to clean the contacts of the sd card and phone with a pencil eraser...must've gotten dirty somehow.

Try putting a new 8gig or higher into phone and see if it works.
