Insistent sign in to network pop up

Hello,
I am also a LeTV LeEco Le 2 user, from few days whenever i am connecting to my wifi this popup comes @mikedt posted the ss, so what i did is i opened the default browser of LeTV then cleared all data from it and removed all permissions from it. After that whenever i am connecting to my wifi this is not coming anymore.

Well, that sounds like a great oportunity to use a different browser.

Personally, I use a varient of Lightning Browser- which is an open source, secure, and extremely fast browser.

If my stock browser was doing such things, then I would disable it and make Lightning my default browser. (I actually did this, but for other reasons.)

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/acr.browser.lightning/

I have nothing to gain from promoting this browser, I just feel that it really is the best out there.

There are multiple varients out there, with different features added to it.

I have used it and varients of it for years, so let me know about any questions or issues.

Não existe um aplicativo chamado 'navegador padrão'.
O navegador padrão é qualquer navegador que você definir.

I stumbled upon this forum, has anyone finally managed to stop this madness pop-up? I have LeX622. Please help me, I've tried removing Captive portal permission, also removed it's access from my wifi and mobile data thru Phone Manager. It does not work still. I can't afford to have a new phone rn, my budget is tight. Thank you sm.

Having this same problem on my LeEco Le Pro 3. It started a few weeks ago when I was at an office and tried to use their free wi-fi. It doesn't come up unless I try to switch to wi-fi (which I rarely do) but I wanted to get rid of it.

I tried the NoRoot Firewall and couldn't find the Captive Portal, I think because it wasn't making a connection. I don't have the Phone Manager app suggested in another answer.

I did find CaptivePortalLogin on my App Management screen and I did a force stop and tried wi-fi, and the Tencent webpage didn't pop up that time. I'd love to uninstall it but the option to uninstall doesn't work. I cannot access Developer Options and that Titanium Backup someone suggested is abandonware. Is there another way anyone might recommend to remove hidden apps?

Thank you Subhadwip Tunga, your suggestion #56 worked for me (but not the previous, about just disabling Mobile data and Wifi for the Captive Portal Login via Phone manager).

As "always", the written instruction (at the XDA forum) wasn't exactly as on my computer/phone. First, at step 8 my menu didn't contain any "Open command prompt here", but it was called "Open PowerShell-window here". At step 9, typing "adb devices" didn't work - but the program itself suggested typing ".\adb devices" instead - which worked (the same "prefix" .\ at step 12).

Does anyone know why these phones almost continually are connecting to this server - unknowingly to us as users, until the server in questions just recently was closed? Was there some "legitimate" reason for this activity, or was it about sending some kind of user data to this server - without our permission?

My Leeco Coolpad 1 started popping up Captive Portal Login about a month ago as well, finally resolutions #53 and #56 successfully did the job. Actually they do exactly the same! Many thanks to Subhadwip Tunga and r0mick!

I suspect it was both.
