Help Insomnia from flashing green light

Apache

Well-Known Member
Anyway I can get the green notification light from flashing while my DX is on Silent mode? I'm one of those weird people who can't sleep unless it's pitch dark, and that little green light can be surprisingly bright in an o/w dark room.

Thanks!

Guys, I suspect - and I may be wrong here - that he has probably already considered the possibility of laying the phone face down or not charging it near him or physically covering up the LED.

This is a smartphone. It's a mini computer. Why shouldn't we look for better and more automated ways to do things?

To the OP: You can use Tasker for this. If you set up a task for either a time period or an event (e.g. the phone being set to silent mode), and then under Audio > Notification Pulse, you can turn it to "Off." There are lots of people here using Tasker profiles, so if you have trouble setting it up, post a thread and someone can help you.

Thanks binary visions, while I definitely appreciate all the suggestions from everyone, a more... sophisticated solution is what I was looking for -- Tasker seems to be it. I'll give it whirl.

Thanks to all,
