Inspire battery

Well, I send a very politely worded message to HTC about the crappy battery life on the inspire as well as a battery door that makes even taking a spare along just in case.

What I got back from them was a very long email that really didn't address my questions. What it was was a very long rambling that basic said remove all third party apps, and use the phone less and the battery would last longer.

If any would would like to read it let me know and I'll send it to you or even post it.

Ah yes, the battery life! This is kind of a universal complaint with all HTC phones, and those of us who bought the Inspire are particularly effected because of the design of the back cover. The attractive, aluminum unibody construction also means that we're "landlocked" - we can't go to a bigger battery which the users of the HTC Thunderbolt, for example, can do.

Essentially, the only thing you can do *IS* to try to cut down on the number of apps you have running, turn your display's brightness levels down - things like that. OR, you can accept the fact that the battery on the Inspire is crap, and give in and charge the phone when it's low. That's what I do, but charging a phone's battery has never bothered me - it's like feeding your kid. All kids are different and some need to be fed more frequently than others. I'm not trying to sound flip, that's just the way all HTC phones seem to be: They all have PITA batteries.
