Hi there, I'm on Froyo 2.2 (stock ROM) and i have some .apk files on my computer that I want to install, how should I do this since I cant seem to get HTC Sync to work? :S
Download a file manager like Estrong (ES File Explorer) from the market and connect your phone to your PC by wireless. Copy over and install.
You don't need HTC sync to copy thing to your phone via USB you just need the USB drivers that the sync software installs. I UN-installed the Sync software but left the drivers on.
Put them on your SD card by connecting to your PC and choosing "Disk Drive" as the connection type. Then use Astro file manager (tnhat I advised you install in the picture gallery thread) to browse to the location from your phone. Open the .apk file. If it says to open with the installer, do so.
