Hey guys i installed astro but i doesn't seem to work ..so i want in rom manger and clicked install from sd card but nothing shows?i transferred all my apps from pc to a downloads folder..

is ther an install app that works for the CynanogenMod ?

What does "doesn't work" mean? You can't find them? Or it won't let you install them?

Why are your apps on the sdcard? Most of us install apps via Market or Amazon app store.

Any thing installed from Rom Manager or recovery (CWM) is completely different from installing an app (APK). Installing from recovery means you need a zip file that's supposed to be installed that way.

Where is this download folder? Sdcard? A folder created when connected via usb to your computer? Did you unplug the usb cable before trying to install them?

I use Root Explorer, but it's a paid app. I don't think Astro lets you into the system folders like other apps do, but it should let you install stuff.

i got them installed via the file manager.odd that astro did not work.no sd card.

ya i have astro on my phone and i install all my apps with it.

install apps.i installed android on my touchpad so im transferring some apps to see how it deals with them..up to now im impress't..

why do i get this now when i try to access this site!

androidforums.com contains content from phandroid.com, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else.
We have already notified phandroid.com that we found malware on the site. For more about the problems found on phandroid.com, visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page.

Phandroid is infected with malware and your browser (Firefox or Chrome) is blocking it. They're working on it. I have yet to see my AV complaining so apparently it's not a big deal unless maybe if you have IE for a browser.

Is it safe to assume that you've checked the option to allow installation of foreign apps on your TP?

When you click on the .APK file in your downloads directory, does it take you through the normal installation screens? Does it display any error messages?

Good call Martimus. I didn't think of that.

The malware warnings are gone. Apparently they've cleaned that up (again). :D
