"INSTALL BLOCKED" Samsung Captivate

Hi, Im very new to this & very new to my Samsung Captivate.
Im having trouble installing a certain app..

a window pops up on my phone saying
">Install blocked
For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market."

I have tried the settings to see if there was anything i could turn on or off to help... but im completely lost at this point.

Im hoping someone will know how to change the settings & maybe walk me thru it.

Att has that aspect of your phone blocked. Rooting will overrule that limitation for you. Check your phone's section of this forum for help.
