Don't forget to make a nandroid backup prior to flashing...Just in case something breaks on you or you don't like the ROM you're testing out and want your phone back the way it was prior to flashing.

You can either use ROM Manager or install them manually. Plug your phone into your PC via USB, select "Disk Drive". Place the ROM's zip file onto the root directory of your SD Card. Now power phone off, then power on while holding volume down, and this will take you to your bootloader (white screen with different colored writing). Select "Recovery" from the menu, using the volume keys to navigate, and once in recovery select "Advanced" and wipe data/cache/dalvik-cache. Once complete, return to the main menu in recovery and select "Choose Zip From SD Card". Find the ROM's zip you want to flash and select!

Keep in mind it will take a little while to install, and the first time booting up after installation can take 5 min. or so, so be patient.

i have clockworkmod. i want to flash the custom ROM for the new 3.70. i already did a nandorid backup.

how do you place the rom zip file into the sd card?

Connect your phone to your computer through your USB cable supplied. Usually a prompt will come up asking what option you want. Click disk drive. If this doesn't pop up, go to Settings-Connect to PC and find that option there. Make it the default.

Then just copy the file into the drive. Don't put it in any folders or anything. Just drop it in there and you good to go.

Or....right click on the zip file and select "send" and send it to drive E,F, or G depending on your computer config and assuming you are Windows OS. Simple as that.
