Root Installation aborted.

When I boot into recovery to apply the zip file for the ROM, I get Installation aborted when it trys to install update. What am I missing here?

Have Droid 3 Boostrap.

Followed the above instructions 100%

Relax. This forum isn't as busy as XDA (if that's what you're used to). I would suggest an SBF then a fresh download and reflash.

No I am not used to XDA. I figured 12hrs would be enough for a issue as simple as this.

I figured it out, so here is the solution for other people having this isse.

You cannot unzip the rom, then rezip it with compression. I downloaded the rom directly to my phone, and it worked fine.

Oh, yes. I've run into this as well. I wanted to change some things, then flash it, but it wouldn't work for me either. You can download it on the computer, but just transfer it via USB directly to the phone and do no unzip it. That'll save you data if you're limited to 2GB or just don't want to wait for this phone to download over WiFi.
