Help Installation complete message.

Smeeble

Newbie
Hi.
I was browsing the net yesterday on my phone (looking at info about a pain killer I'm taking), when a message saying 'Installation complete' popped up.
I wasn't downloading anything at the time, so it got me a bit worried.
I was using Firefox at the time with free lookout running, but spotted last night that I had the 'enable app installs from non play store' ticked.
I have since uninstalled Firefox, and ran scans with AVG and Avast, both of which didn't find anything.

Any ideas about what it could have been, or a better way to check for issues?
Cheers.

You could pull down your notification bar and see if there is a message about the download, perhaps an app update.
Or, using a file browser, check your "download" folder on your internal sd card (phone) or your external sd card (if you have one installed).

There was nothing in the notifications bit, just a pop up message st the bottom of the screen (looks like the one when it's connected to a wifi network etc).
Looked through my download section on my phone, nothing was downloaded on that date and my SD card doesn't have a download folder, just my music and some videos.

Possibly, other updates have been over wifi and phone had to restart though. Anyone else had this happen over the past few days?

You may have downloaded an app from Play store and accidentally checked the Allow Automatic Updates box.
