I am getting "Installation error unknown reason - 18" when trying to install apps from the market. There is plenty of room on my phone and on the SD card. What gives?

Help installation Error when downloading/installing apps

unmount your card and then mount it again.

How do I go about doing that?

Now I got "package file was not signed correctly"
just to be on the same page:
plug up phone to computer, putting phone into usb mode, then mount the card to the laptop. wait a couple minutes. perhaps go in and look at the root of the card just for grins..
then
dismount the card from laptop. unplug usb.
clear market cache
shut off phone.
remove battery. (wait a couple minutes. hit up that old crackbook friend you have not talked to in ages and send him or her a quick wall post)
reinstall battery
boot up phone.
try again.

Well I just formatted the card. That seemed to fix things, although I lost everything on it (not a huge loss, mostly just had music that I can drag and drop back over).
usually that error comes form an issue with the card. sometimes a simple mount/unmount will refresh the file structure of the card to the handset and you should be good to go. this all started happening once froyo allowed installing apps to SD. the constant read/write to/from the card can sometimes cause file structure issues..
