Used to have no problem installing .apks- just whip out the SD card, copy the file, then replace the SD and use a file manager to locate and run the app. Now though it just doesn't work that way; half the time the .apk just appears as an unknown type whereas at other times the file appears normal (We,, the icon does!), but upon trying to install I repeatedly fail- either I'm told the phone is having problems parsing the file, at other times the installer screen runs but then changes to an "Installation- Not Done" display. This all seems to have begun since I rooted my Desire S. Any observations/solutions would be extremely welcome. Thanks.
