Root Installed FRG22 Deodexed, then upgraded to Smoked Glass, and got a new notifcation today

Updated from a manual update (from last week) 2.2 rooted Droid1 using the file mentioned directly above renamed to update.zip. Update ran through successfully. Oddly??(don't know if they should have changed or not) I get:

Model Number = Droid
Android Version = 2.2
Baseband cersion = c_01.43.01p
Kernel version = 2.6.32.9-p103d848android-build@apa26 #1
Build number FRG01B

After running the FULL update file. The information is the same as before running the FULL update.

That looks like mine, except the "p" in the kernel version should be a "g".
Im pretty sure the build number wasnt supposed to change.

Thanks for the advice. I reverted back to stock 2.1 and then applied the update. The phone still had issues so I am just going back to stock 2.1 and waiting to see how the whole 2.2 OTA works out. If my phone is faulty and won't work with any update then I want the actual 2.2 OTA before I take it into Verizon.

The networking just is not working on mine and it is causing the sync to freeze. Back on 2.1 Update 1 everything works great.

new to this so i just wanna make sure this is the newest update for 2.2 here is what i have

Model Number = Droid
Android Version = 2.2
Baseband cersion = c_01.43.01p
Kernel version = 2.6.32.9-p103d848android-build@apa26 #1

I have found this to be pretty glitchy.. esp while running the sirius xm app and while playing flash games..

Mine was a g not a p as well, good eyes.

That is what I saw when I had it installed, of course with G versus p.

As for the file - read the OP.

As for what you need to do, the same as in Trident's guide - but this one you can apply without having to go through the rigmarole of having to flash a different Recovery, it works with the stock recovery, SPRecovery, and ClockworkMod....

Finally, for all people feeling issues, even though this version does replace all of \System, it does not replace your apps- so if you're having issues with the upgrade, numerous users have performed a Factory Reset and then gone on to realize that this, indeed, is the Holy Grail of android OS on the DROID thus far.
