Root installing a miui theme help

I installed miui.us on my Evo. I wanted to install a theme for it that I found on xda. How exactly do I install this zip file on my phone? Do I put it in a certain folder or do I just flash it from recovery. Thanks in advance.

well i do not use miui, but majority of .zip files should be flashed via recovery.

MIUI themes are .mtz files. Look in the zip for one of those. If it has it, extract the .mtz somewhere on your sdcard, open the theme manager, press menu, and choose import theme. It will show you the preview and you can install it from there.

Did the XDA post say what to do with the file? I'd imagine there are/were instructions of some sort.
