To determine if an upgrade is available for the SCH-I899 I would first suggest checking with your mobile carrier. If they cannot provide info on an update I'd next check with Samsung. Unless someone has created a third-party firmware ROM for the SCH-I899 there really isn't a way to just load a newer version of Android on the phone.
