Root installing apk help please

hello i have been trying to root my lgmotion for afew days now and have had issues with file downloads and what not. i have all the files needed to root the phone, but my main issue is i cannot get myphone to read the backup apk. un known sources and debugging are checked. i have places it on the root of my sd card, and even tryed it on the internal memory. some reason it just dose not want to read the apk. i have juce defender apk and a few others i have put on my phone and they all work fine. i even deleted it to retry and nothing. i extracted all and everything, still dose not pop up. i think this is the reason i cannot root my phone. please help, thank you

Clarify a little more. Other than that, delete the package. Redownload, move to your phones extsd, use what ever file explorer you use. Install the package, don't open the app, restart your phone then open the app. :3
 
i have used androfile manager. i have deleted the package and reinstalled it. the thing is i can find the package i just cannot install it. it gives every other option but install i also tryed easy installer and it found all other apks but the package
