Root Installing apps from other Android phones.

[colchiro]

Since the Dinc also has root, I would think they also have posted master backups in their forums. (I'm still trying to find some links.)

Wouldn't their backup have some stuff we don't, (like the cool weather app that shows rain drops on their screen and a windshield wiper that wipes it clean), that could be installed on our phones?

So far I've seen some live wallpapers, but I'm looking for other cool stuff.

Sense widgets wont work on non-sense phones.

That's not what I wanted to hear.

Thanks for the info.

Anyone know if the camera.apk would work from stock 2.1?

Fancy Widget mimics the Sense clock. The only difference is that there are no weather animations when you wake the phone.

You won't find it in the market because HTC issued a cease and desist, but you can find it elsewhere. Search for the APK online. I think the newest version is 1.3, but don't hold me to that.

I don't think another phone's camera apk will work... I'm not sure where the drivers live, but each phone has different camera drivers and I'd presume that they're part of the APK... The camera is one of the big holdups in 2.2 ROMs for the Inc because of the drivers. I'm not a developer, though, so I may be dead wrong.

Thanks, I've already got fancy widgets from here: http://androidforums.com/support-tr...ts-whos-got-incredible-clock-figured-out.html

Want the TouchWiz launcher from Galaxy S phones?

I tried it earlier today, and while it's pretty cool, I like my ADW just fine

If you look for the 2.22 version of beautiful home/widget you will have a very similar widget to the HTC. Try 4shared.com
