Help installing apps to sd(newbie)

hi iv just got an htc wildfire but im having alot of trouble with puttin apps onto the sd card? my android version is 2.2.1 which i thought was the newer one theirfor you can move apps onto sd? i cant move facebook or skynews apps yet i was able to move apps to sd and also a game called bubble shoot or something like that! so confusing!! is their a way around it without bricking the phone? iv also tried installing the apk file through htc sync but it put it straight onto the phone memory so i cudnt move it! i have read alot of other threads about this and heard rooting mentioned alot but seems complicated?? please help!

You can't root a Wildfire with 2.2.1 yet. You'll have to accept that some apps can be moved to SD while others can't.

i thought as much lol why are things never simple all that space on the sd! thanks for replying!
