Root Installing Icarus 1.1

I'm going to try to install Icarus 1.1 I already have CWM 2.5.1.8 and the Icarus1.1 file. My question is, does the Icarus file have to be unzipped? I saw a video on you tube and it looks like the Cwm finds the zipped file on the sd card and you just install it from there.
I have the file on my sd card as a zip file and it shows it with a green circle with a white" ? " in the center. I can't open the file when I click on it. I just want to make sure that I don't mess anything up here.

As a zip.

dont unzip the .zip file just put the zip file on the root of your sdcard.
