Root installing kernal problems???

So I try and install the zip off of my sd card and i keep getting an error

E:signature verification failed
installation aborted

can anybody tell me what im doing wrong

Are you rooted? Have you installed ClockWork recovery? If yes on both of those then you can toggle the signature verification on/off in recovery but you shouldn't have to. Once your rooted and in clockwork recovery they should install fine. Booting after installation is a different story.

i got it to work, after i took a break from it, i was just over thinking a very simple problem, but thanks for replying
