Help Installing new motherboard

Okay so the sd card slot in my optimus f7 does not work anymore and I want to buy a new motherboard, and install that. I understand that i would have to re activate my phone. But what i need to know is if i could still use my original sim card with the new motherboard.

You should be able too. I just bought a refurbished Optimus F7 that didn't have a sim/uccid card in it. I called boost had to complain a bit. In the end they are going to send out a new sim card. They told me to just go under the phone in my account and replace the old iccid with the new one. Then put the new card into the phone and it should activate within a few minutes. So I don't see why an old sim/uccid card wouldn't work with a new motherboard.

yes you can, are you gonna do the repair yourself? do a video for other users:)

Yeah haha I don't really do vidoes but I do plan on doing it myself:D Another thing though. I just wanna make sure that I would have to activate the phone again since it would have a new serial number right?

Hmmmm, not too sure. Doubt it. Your ESN/MEID is stored on a partition. Wait a sec.... I actually don't know lol.
if the internal memory is on the motherboard then yeah you probably will have to reactivate it.

Why not send it to lg for a free repair?

Haha good question... Wasn't sure if the warranty would cover that! I guess I'll do that before I go spend any money

The warranty will as long as there is no water damage or physical damage on the outside of the phone that might hint that it has been dropped before.
