Root Installing RCMixS v1.3 Rom

Hi all,
Just a sanity check here.
I'm running Gingervillain 2.1 on my Desire. Radio 32.44.00.32u_5.09.05.30_2.
16GB SD card with a 512MB ext3 partition.
I'm interested in trying out the rom in the thread title found here:

Do I just need to move the zip file to the sd card, then:
1. Create a folder named Robocik on the root of sd card and create a subfolder named app.user.
2. Copy contents of (PHONE)data/app folder and paste them to the newly created Robocik/app.user folder on sd card root.
3. Factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik
4. Flash ROM, sit back and enjoy autoinstall


Mainly asking as couldn't find if it was compatible with my radio when I searched about and hadn't come across a rom install where I had to do anything like steps 1 and 2 before.

If I'm missing any useful info, just ask.

I just flashed it as steps 3 and 4, same as any other ROM. It works 98% fine except for the People app FC's and so does Mail.apk. There are workarounds, but it doesnt affect its performance at all. If you follow what they tell you, it cant go wrong.

BTW its very impressive, and I'm staying with Sense for a while from ADW & LauncherPRO because of it.

I rolled back my Radio to 05.08 as they say its the best suited. And also, if you are with Orange UK there is a fix zip for a Radio issue which you should install. Ive done that, but if youre not with Orange, you dont need it.

I might give it couple more releases then give it a try as I'm still a bit scared of changing the radio!!
Roms are second nature now but I fear radios
Might make that my signature

jimeller, did you use clockworkmod recovery to flash it? Which version are you running?

Yes I used clockwork. Nandroid first.... just waiting for the changelog at appear on xda before switching to 1.3. I'm on 1.2 now.
