Root Installing roms on android 2.2 D-INC.

So everything i see shows you how to do root on the newer versions of android. My phone has 2.2 and even with a factory reset it refuses to update and says that the phone is full even with nothing on it.

Anybody know of any old links or anything to help me or maybe a update I can install via usb?
